Welcome to J188’s Betting Information. This document governs all bets placed on our platform and forms part of the agreement between you and J188. By placing bets you acknowledge and accept these terms, as well as any updates we publish. You must be of legal gambling age in your jurisdiction and comply with applicable laws. J188 reserves the right to amend these terms and to communicate changes through the platform; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
All bets on a market are settled based on the official outcome determined by the event’s governing body or the designated organizer. If the outcome is announced after the initial publication of the market, bets placed after that moment may be voided unless the market description specifies otherwise. When an event is not completed and the result is provided by an official source, J188 will settle in accordance with that official result.
If the official determination arrives more than 48 hours after the end of the event and undecided bets have already been treated as void, the earlier official decision stands for settlement. Bets on customer specials or markets expressly excluding this rule remain subject to the market description. If a market is not determined within normal play time, settlement occurs after the regular duration unless the market description states otherwise.
In cases where a match or event is postponed, abandoned, or not resumed within a defined window, J188 reserves the right to determine settlement based on the part of the event that has been completed or to void unsettled bets, consistent with the official status of the event. If two legs of a tie are involved, markets corresponding to the postponed or abandoned leg may be voided, while markets unaffected by the postponement may stand. Outright markets (short- and long-term) remain subject to their own settlement criteria and may continue to apply regardless of postponement, except where market-specific rules specify otherwise.
Where a sport may extend beyond the standard duration, markets that include overtime or extra time are settled after those periods conclude, provided the market description contemplates such extension. Penalty shootouts or deciders are not considered for settlement unless the market explicitly states inclusion of such deciders. If a match goes to overtime, bets on markets that do not include extra time remain settled on the outcome of the regular period unless the market specifies inclusion of overtime.
Outright markets (wins, top positions, or tiered classifications) are subject to a Play-or-Pay rule: bets on participants will stand and be settled as losses if the participant is unable to take part, regardless of the reason. Head-to-head (H2H) markets are excluded from this rule; if a listed participant is absent, H2H markets involving that participant are void. If a participant is replaced by another member of the same team, team markets remain valid, while individual participant markets may be void.
Markets tied to a competition’s progression (qualifications, top positions, or awards) follow the above principles; however, the specific settlement depends on the market description and the event format.
Bets on scorers—First, Last, or Anytime Scorer—apply to regular time unless the market description expressly includes extra time. Own goals, if counted by official authority, affect scorer markets as described in the market rules. First Goalscorer is void if a listed player does not participate from kickoff or if a later player scores the first goal unless an own goal is recorded; Last Goalscorer is void if a listed player never plays. Anytime Scorer applies to any eligible player who participates in the match. If a match is abandoned after a scorer has been determined, bets on the first scorer may be voided in accordance with the market terms.
For user experience, displayed odds are truncated to two decimal places. Total odds are calculated using a sixth decimal digit, while the winning amount is always truncated to two decimal places. Any discrepancy from rounding is attributable to these rules. The maximum interval between settlement and any potential re-settlement is 30 days.
J188 reserves the right to accept or reject bets, in whole or part, without requiring justification. If a bet is not accepted, stakes are refunded. J188 may void or cancel bets before the event starts or after acceptance if there is a palpable error in event wording or odds, if a customer attempts to bypass limits, if a customer uses information not available to the public to determine outcomes, if multiple related bets or accounts are involved, if the customer participates directly in the event, if there is a technical error in offering odds or events, or for any other valid reason communicated to the customer on request.
During live or in-play betting, J188 reserves the right to suspend betting, adjust prices, or pause markets in response to data feed interruptions, technical issues, or substantial event delays. Bets placed during disruption are subject to validation in the betting history once the system stabilizes. If a decision by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) conflicts with the on-pitch call and affects a time window of bets, those bets may be voided if the final decision alters the event’s state; bets unaffected by the VAR decision remain valid.
To place bets with J188, customers may be required to complete identity verification (KYC) and satisfy anti-money-laundering (AML) checks. J188 may impose limits, require documentation, or place temporary restrictions for security or compliance purposes. Self-exclusion and responsible gaming controls are available to customers, including time limits and cooling-off periods, to promote safe play. All personal data handling aligns with our privacy provisions and applicable law.
Any disputes concerning bets, settlements, or account activity should be submitted through the official support channels provided by J188. Where necessary, unresolved matters may be reported to the applicable regulatory authority in the customer’s jurisdiction, in accordance with local law. J188 will communicate decisions and any required actions in writing, and all actions taken are final unless overturned by a recognized regulatory process.
